For these photos I used two coats of each with no top coat. Cute As A Button was almost a one-coater, and Turquoise & Caicos could have benefited from a third, but I wanted to keep them even. I'd been warned about the terrible formula on T&C so I was pleasantly surprised! I think it's like how my Lilacism was with the old formula vs the new one - four thin watery coats vs two decent ones.
I'd like to take a moment to say THANKS to Essie for updating their formulas. The new ones (in the bottles with the white labels and the names on top) are brilliant. Honestly, if they'd stuck to the old formulas, they'd have gone bankrupt. Nail addicts won't stand for that kinda nonsense! XP
Awww look at those fresh healthy cuticles... The miracle of a good moisturiser ;-).
When we have four new good polishes that we wanna use all at once, what do we do? Watermarble!! I used two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls as underwear for the marble, and added a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust on top. I told you last time, Fairy Dust is pretty much compulsory now!Wasn't crazy about how my ring finger turned out, and I still need to practice not getting horrible little bubbles all over the nail when I dunk it, but I think I'm starting to get my marbling-groove back, whaddaya think? LOL
The next few posts are likely to feature my right hand (oh my gosh stop the presses!!) which is the hand I don't usually photograph because it's my dominant hand, and I suck at painting it... However, the fates decided that I had to go back to nubs on my photographed hand today -.- I kinda sorta broke my index finger nail off while taking the rubbish out today... Whoops... So yeah, look forward to that!
Thank you so much for popping in ^_^ see y'all soon!
